United Airlines flight crew caught on video pushing baby on toilet seat as crew member cries in passenger seat
UNITED AIRLINES UNITED AIRWAYS (AP) — A United Airlines pilot and a passenger on a United Airlines plane who appeared to push a baby on a toilet seat has been suspended without pay after an investigation into the incident.
The U.S. Transportation Department says it was notified Thursday by the company of the suspension and is looking into the matter.
It says the United pilot has been terminated.
The airline said in a statement the pilot and passenger had been removed from duty, but that no charges have been filed against them.
United also said it would refund the passengers $2,500 for their travel and would reimburse the United employee for the use of their hotel room.
United has said the incident happened during takeoff from Atlanta.
